More than 120 Years of Superior Service

 In 1889, a German immigrant opened a small retail bakery in his adopted home of San Antonio, Texas. His specialty was bread, and he quickly earned a reputation for flavor, freshness and consistent quality.  In 1956, our family, the Morris family purchased the popular bakery, and we continued to offer our customers the same high-quality products and services that were important to the bakery’s founder.

As years passed, new techniques for freezing were developed, which allowed the bakery to preserve the flavor and freshness of its products. Because we could now produce volumes of our best-selling products and ship them nationwide, our customer base evolved, and the bakery now provides a variety of fresh and frozen bakery items to food service operators, in-store bakeries and delis, and restaurants.

Our experience in custom formulation and baking is the cornerstone of our business.  Because we can duplicate an existing recipe, or develop a formula from a concept that needs to meet exact specifications and customer expectations, Lone Star Bakery, Inc. occupies a very unique niche in the commercial bakery business.  It is perhaps the most valuable service we offer our customers.
